Iris Critten is president of Advanced Project Consulting (APC), and along with her husband David, they own one of America’s fastest growing small businesses. The organization has become known for its exceptional service, providing its customers Engineering, Logistics, Aviation, and Cyber support.
Prior to her civilian career, Iris Critten served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and retired after twenty years of service. She flew world-wide combat missions in support of both U.S. and NATO operations. Iris has served in PACAF, AETC, ACC, and USAFE theaters of operations. During her Air Force career, Iris earned her Master Instructor certification and Master Mission Crew Commander Rating. Iris Critten graduated with a degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. She later earned her MBA from Troy State University, AL.
Sr. Vice President
David Critten is Sr. Vice President of Advanced Project Consulting, and along with his wife Iris, they own one of America’s fastest growing small businesses. The organization has become known for its exceptional service, providing its customers Engineering, Logistics, Aviation, and Cyber support.
Prior to founding APC, David worked in numerous positions supporting Government customers, both as a civil servant and as a contractor. He has worked in large and small businesses in the functional areas of Information Technology, Engineering, and Program Management. David’s in-depth understanding of the government contracting business has been a key component of APC’s success and rapid growth. David Critten graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and later earned his Master’s degree from the George Washington University School of Business. He also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2002.
Sonya P. Jenkins
Chief of Operations
Sonya Jenkins is the Chief of Operations for Advanced Project Consulting. She has more than twenty years of experience working with both small and large companies in various roles such as Program Manager, Operations Manager, Software Developer, Director of Proposals, Vice President of Program Operations, and Business Solutions Consultant.
Sonya brings a blend of organizational leadership, strategic thinking, and customer relations to APC. She has significant program management and proposal lifecycle management expertise and a proven ability to develop and lead diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions. In her role, Sonya is responsible for the development of the strategies, processes, standards, and workflows for successful program execution and customer satisfaction. Sonya holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Auburn University, with a concentration in Computer Science.
Business Development Manager
Michael Benoit is the Business Development Manager for Advanced Project Consulting. Michael has over 30 years of practical, applied experience in the areas of Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, and Consulting. His small and large business experience includes strategic planning, proposal development, and program execution.
Michael sets the tone and directs activities for business development across APC ranging from big picture strategic planning to day-to-day management of details to ensure successful customer engagements and proposals. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University, a Certification in Program Management from American Graduate University, and has previously held a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Nichole started her career in the Defense Contracting Industry as a Financial Analyst before embarking on the world of Contract Administration. Nichole earned her Master’s Degree from Georgia College and State University, and holds an Acquisition Certification in Contracting. She is also a member of the National Contract Management Association.
