Project Controller/Business Manager

Advanced Project Consulting, LLC (APC) is a defense contracting firm based in Warner Robins, GA.  We provide outstanding engineering, logistics, information technology and ISR support to our customers while maintaining agile, personalized, professional service.  We are constantly looking for energetic, trustworthy and dedicated professionals to join our team.We have a position open for an experienced Project Controller/Business Manager to support a APC operations in Warner Robins, Georgia.Position Description: Responsible for end-to-end project controls, from initial project setup, through award/initiation and continuing until project closeout.Communicates, interfaces, and coordinates with Accounting/Finance personnel, Project Managers, Contracts personnel, DCAA auditors, Human Resources, Corporate Management, and other professional staff in a professional and cooperative manner.Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts current status against an established baseline schedule and budget. Reports status of schedule and budget to appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems. May interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and develop statistical reports.Presents conclusions and makes recommendations by analyzing facts and conditions, and makes recommendations for corrections or improvements.Understands and applies the provisions and terms and conditions of contracts, Government regulation requirements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Develops cost estimates and price proposals, establish appropriate Basis of Estimate.Customizes project control systems and reports to meet specific project requirements.Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Required Qualifications:Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.A minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required.Experience in dealing with various types of contracts is mandatory, including FFP, T&M, & CPFF.Proficiency with accounting/finance tools and excellent Excel skills.Understanding of Government FAR and CAS principles.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Be able to clearly and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.Desired Qualifications:MBA and/or CPA preferred.Experience with DCAA processes and procedures.Experience with small business government contracting.Clearance / Security:  Successful candidates must pass a background investigation and a drug-screening. Travel:  Minimal travel is required for this position.
